Magdalene Spanuello

Magdalene Spanuello is a Chicago-based theatre director and choreographer, adjunct music theatre faculty at Carthage College, and Artistic Director at Shawnee Summer Theatre. Her international credits include NEXT TO NORMAL and SEUSSICAL, THE MUSICAL! (Shanghai Conservatory of Music). Among her regional credits are THE TEMPEST directed by Aaron Posner and Teller of Penn & Teller (Associate Director-Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Smith Center; Las Vegas, South Coast Repertory), A CHRISTMAS CAROL, GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL!, FOREVER PLAID (Milwaukee Repertory Theatre); and ARMS AND THE MAN (Ten Chimneys). Coming up, she will be directing SWEETEST SWING IN BASEBALL and PINOCCHIO at Shawnee Summer Theatre. M.F.A. Western Illinois University. She is thrilled to be making her Old Creamery directing debut!
