Spent 25 years as Producing Director of the Annie Russell Theatre at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and Chairman of their Department of Theatre Arts. He then returned to his home town to retire. He began his educational career at Grinnell College and graduate studies at Yale University School of Drama. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Denver. He has directed and lectured at the University of Michigan, Ohio State University and the University of Pittsburgh. He was Producing Director of the Pittsburgh Playhouse and School of Theatre. He has directed and produced over 50 productions, including a recent production of Rumors. He spends his summers at the Centennial Theatre Festival, in Simsbury Conn. and is a frequent visitor to The Old Creamery. He currently teaches part-time at Coe College, cares for his 92-year-old mother and truly loves his Iowa home…with mandatory visits to his three grandsons and new granddaughter, Genevieve Rose.
