With very special permission granted by playwright Arlene Hutton, this Concert Theatre production of Gulf View Drive will be presented at The Depot Stage for six performances only.
With scripts in hand, actors will read the final episode in the story of May and Raleigh, the beloved characters from Last Train to Nibroc and See Rock City. In the fall of 2007 Arlene Hutton will premiere the full stage production of Gulf View Drive in L.A. and New York.
This production picks up ten years after May and Raleigh meet. They find themselves living in an island community off the gulf coast of Florida. Sparks fly amid snakes, mosquitoes and thunderstorms in this funny, delightful and insightful glimpse of life in the 1950s. Insiders are calling this Alrene Hutton’s best play to date.
